This 21-night adventure crosses Zambia, from the spray and roar of Victoria Falls to Kafue’s open floodplains and the remote wilderness of the Luangwa Valley. Across eight distinctive camps, you’ll exchange paved roads for river crossings, hotel lobbies for mornings around the campfire, and busy tourist routes for wild places where few others travel. With all transfers arranged, the journey allows you to experience several very different parts of Zambia without having to manage the complicated logistics yourself.
It’s remote, it’s wild and it offers a side of Africa that few travellers have the opportunity to experience.

ARRIVE IN LIVINGSTONE: 2 NIGHTS
Your safari begins in Livingstone, where you will be met at the airport and transferred to Taita Falcon Lodge for two nights.TRANSFER TO THE KAFUE: 6 NIGHTS
Spend nine nights exploring three very different areas of Kafue National Park: three nights at Nanzhila Plains Camp, three nights at Nanzhila Lake Camp and three nights at Kasonso Busanga.
TRANSFER TO LUSAKA: 1 NIGHT
Spend one night at Pioneer Lodge in Lusaka before continuing to the Luangwa Valley.

Livingstone: 2 nights at Taita Falcon Lodge
Your safari begins with two nights at Taita Falcon Lodge, situated near Livingstone and approximately 11 km from Victoria Falls. On arrival at Livingstone Airport—or Victoria Falls Airport in Zimbabwe—our team will meet you in the arrivals hall and transfer you to the lodge. Perched high above the Batoka Gorge, Taita Falcon Lodge combines peaceful surroundings with easy access to Victoria Falls. Optional activities include guided tours of the Falls, Devil’s Pool, white-water rafting, bungee jumping and helicopter flights. Sunset cruises, day trips to Chobe National Park and visits to the Elephant Café can also be arranged.
Accommodation is provided in our Falcon Chalets, each offering a private and comfortable retreat overlooking the gorge.

Southern Kaufe: 2 nights at Nanzhila Plains Camp
Following your two nights at Taita Falcon Lodge, we will transfer you to Kafue National Park for a three-night stay at Nanzhila Plains Camp. The drive takes approximately five and a half hours.
Nanzhila Plains Camp features a spacious, thatched lounge and dining area set on a raised teak deck overlooking the surrounding wilderness. From here, guests can watch bushbuck moving through the woodland or listen to elephants feeding nearby. Activities include game drives and guided bush walks, with opportunities to see numerous antelope species as well as lion, leopard, elephant, cheetah and wild dog. The camp’s five chalets are positioned along the treeline and offer uninterrupted views across the dambo. Each chalet accommodates two guests and includes an en-suite bathroom with hot and cold running water.

Lake Itezhi-tezhi: 3 nights at Nanzhila Lake Camp
From Nanzhila Plains Camp, you will travel approximately two and a half hours north to Nanzhila Lake Camp.
Located close to Lake Itezhi-Tezhi in a productive game-viewing area, Lake Camp is known for the Smith family’s warm hospitality and attention to detail. Guests may encounter a diverse range of wildlife, including elephant, buffalo, hippo, wild dog, puku, lion, cheetah and leopard, against a backdrop of open floodplains and seasonal lake views. Activities include game drives and guided walks along the shoreline and surrounding floodplains, which support a rich variety of wildlife and birdlife. Accommodation consists of five en-suite chalets and a two-bedroom family cottage, each with a covered veranda and seasonal views of the lake.

Busanga Plains: 3 nights at Kasonso Busanga
Situated in the renowned Busanga Plains, Kasonso Busanga offers an intimate safari experience surrounded by broad floodplains and seasonal wetlands. The camp has four traditional canvas tents positioned on picturesque fig-tree islands, providing uninterrupted views across one of Zambia’s most remarkable ecosystems. As the seasonal floodwaters recede, the plains attract large concentrations of wildlife. The area is particularly well known for its predators, including the Busanga lion prides that roam the grasslands and cross the shallow channels. Morning and afternoon game drives explore the open plains in search of lion, puku, red lechwe, roan antelope and other wildlife. With space for only eight guests, Kasonso offers a secluded base from which to experience the wild northern reaches of Kafue National Park.

The camp is renowned for its exceptional predator sightings, most notably the iconic Busanga lion prides that roam the grasslands and navigate the shallow channels. Lusaka: 1 night at Pioneer Lodge
Following your 9 nights in the Kafue, you will arrive at Pioneer Lodge, which is located on the outskirts of Lusaka. Pioneer Lodge is a welcome, tranquil oasis designed specifically for travelers in transit across Zambia. Featuring cozy chalets, shaded verandas, and a relaxed, open-air bar and restaurant, the lodge provides all the essential comforts needed to rest and recharge between safari legs. Its peaceful green grounds attract vibrant birdlife, making it feel like an extension of the bush rather than a city stopover.

From Mfuwe, you will be collected and driven to Luambe Horizons for a 3 night stay.
3 NIGHTS NORTH LUANGWA NATIONAL PARK
From Luambe, continue north into North Luangwa National Park for a three-night stay at North Luangwa Skybeds.
3 NIGHTS IN SOUTH LUANGWA
From North Luangwa, travel south to Nkonzi Camp for the final three nights of your safari.

Luambe National Park: 3 nights at Luambe Horizons Camp
Fly into Mfuwe, and we’ll drive you north into Luambe National Park—one of Zambia’s greatest conservation comeback stories and a sector you’ll often have entirely to yourself. Your base here is Luambe Horizons, an intimate 8-sleeper camp overlooking the Kasikizi floodplain, right where lion, leopard, and wild dog love to hunt. The rooms are built from canvas and gauze with fully retractable roofs, meaning you can pull back the ceiling at night and fall asleep under the stars straight from your bed (or freestanding bath), then pull it over for shade in the day. Between drives and river walks, you’ll find us under the Bedouin-style stretch tent with a pair of binoculars, waiting to see what wanders past the waterhole

North Luangwa: 3 nights at North Luangwa Skybeds
Four hours further north lies North Luangwa – quite possibly the wildest, least-rehearsed corner of Zambia. North Luangwa Skybeds sits unfenced right on the riverbank, meaning elephants and hippos regularly amble right through camp. This is prime walking country. You’ll spend your time on foot exploring the riverbanks and learning about local restoration efforts inside the nearby rhino sanctuary.

South Luangwa: 3 nights at Nkonzi Camp
(Optional 1 night back at Luambe Horizons enroute south)
We finish up in South Luangwa, but away from the main gate crowds. Tucked inside the park along a quiet tributary system, Nkonzi Camp is a classic walk-in canvas setup running 100% on solar power. Because you’re already well inside the park boundaries, there’s no waiting at park gates or queuing for river pontoons—you step out of your Meru tent, zip up your boots, and you’re immediately on safari. It’s an unpretentious, back-to-nature spot where you can track leopard, lion, and big elephant herds on game drives or morning bush walks, then wind down under the shade trees at the open-air bush bar before dinner by lantern light.

The package includes 3 complimentary nights, all listed road transfers and return Proflight flights between Lusaka and Mfuwe. The journey begins in Livingstone and ends in Lusaka but can also be travelled in reverse.
