Ten Million Bats. Front-Row Seats Inside Kasanka.
Gather our friends or family and watch millions of bats fill the Kasanka sky from our seasonal bush camp, open until 15 December 2026

Experience the Bat Migration with Everwild this season!
Every year, millions of bats fill the skies above Kasanka in one of the greatest wildlife spectacles on Earth and we want more people who call Zambia home to experience it for themselves. So, from 24 October to 5 December 2026, Everwild Mobiles is setting up a special semi-permanent bush camp right inside Kasanka for the migration season.
With written confirmation from DNPW and the support of the Kasanka National Park Warden, our camp has been given exclusive access to operate inside the park during this period. With no other accommodation operators open, we’ll be the only camp operating, with space for just 8 guests at a time. Come spend a few days in the park, explore Kasanka and experience the migration from multiple locations, including the famous Bat Forest.

Everything you need to know about your stay at our seasonal Kasanka mobile camp.
THIS ONE IS FOR THE LOCALS
An experience for anyone who wants to witness something incredible
Some of Zambia’s best experiences are right here at home, and Kasanka during the bat migration is one of them. We Love Our Locals is about getting more Zambians out into our parks and having a seriously good time doing it. Grab your partner, your mates or the family and come spend a few days with us. Think millions of bats, game drives, sundowners, good food, cold drinks around the fire and a national park with hardly anyone else around.

THE MOBILE CAMP EXPERIENCE
What will the day-to-day itinerary resemble?
Your stay includes 2 guided activities per day. There’s no rigid itinerary, our guides use their knowledge of Kasanka and the movement of the bats to make the most of each day.
You’ll experience the migration from different viewing locations around the park, including the famous Bat Forest, while also getting the chance to explore everything else Kasanka has to offer. Head out in search of the park’s famous sitatunga, explore the Luwombwa River and discover some incredible birdlife, including raptors swooping in to take advantage of the millions of bats filling the skies.
The bats may be the reason for coming, but the idea is to experience Kasanka as a whole.
