How to get to Lumbe: 

Lumbe Pools is remote but accessible! This means that once you arrive, you can kick off your shoes, turn off your phone and relax!

  1. FLY TO LIVINGSTONE OR KASANE

    Fly commercially to Kasane (Botswana) or Livingstone (Zambia). 

  2. MEET & GREET: ROAD TRANSFER TO CAMP

    We will arrange a road transfer for you from the airport to Lumbe Pools. Drive time from Kasane: 4hours and form Livingstone 4.5 hours. 

  3. SPEND 4 nights at Lumbe Pools

    Spend 4 nights at Lumbe Pools celebrating!

  4. DEPARTURE DAY

    We will transfer you back to the airport in time for your return flight.

A TYPICAL ITINERARY: Day 1

Arrival at Lumbe Pools 

Mid-late afternoon transfer and check into camp followed by a beach braai and finger supper.

A TYPICAL ITINERARY: DAY 2

Tigerfishing, River Brunch, Sioma Falls

Your first morning in camp you can enjoy guided or unguided tiger fishing, a Zambezi River brunch and visit the 2nd largest waterfall on the Zambezi, the Sioma Falls.

A typical ITINERARY: DAY 3

Morning Activities, the Ceremony followed by Cocktails, Dinner and Dancing. 

Normally on this morning, the group splits for activities like fishing, beach golf, a visit to the local market for somethign to add to your outfit! We then return to camp for brunch and then it’s time to get dressed and made up for the ceremony! The Celebrating Couple does final checks and we aim to start the ceremony mid-afternoon.

The Ceremony typically flows as follows:

  1. INTRODUCTION

    A short message from your Lumbe host/MC about why we value relationships and comittment.

  2. EXCHANGE OF GIFTS

    The couple then get to give their vows or re-commitment speech to each other which is followed by the exchange of a symbolic gift that we can help arrange.

  3. CLOSING PRAYER

    After the re-comittment and gift exchange, there is a closing prayer and or words from friends and family to the couple.

  4. PLANTING OF TREES

    The party then follows the couple to their tree planting where they plant their pre-selected trees.

  5. DINNER & DANCING

    Finally, it’s down to the Zambezi for a sundowner Pontoon cruise followed by a sit down dinner and dance!

TYPICAL ITINERARY: DAY 4

Snorkeling, Beach Boule, Gin Tasting

The morning is at everyone’s leisure to pursue activities in camp or on the river until brunch. Following brunch, we head down to the Lumbe beach for Gin or wine tasting followed by beach boule, fishing or snorkelling.

Departure Day

Early morning breakfast before checking out and heading back to the airport in time for your return flight.
